AgenticMentor

For the person
behind the prompt.

Learning, built into your AI workflow.

You can prompt it.
Can you explain it?

Meet Agentic Mentor.

A small question after each AI edit, so you keep learning from the code you're actually making.

For Cursor and VS Code.

Try the pause.

A quick example
This code works.
const tasks = [
{ done: true },
{ done: false }
];

const finished = tasks
.filter(task => task.done);

But what does this part do?

Does filter change the original tasks array?

One question. A moment to think.
Then back to building.

The idea

Getting the code is easy.
Making it yours takes a moment.

The agent adds a filter, rewrites a loop, or changes how errors are handled. You accept the change. The project moves on.

Agentic Mentor asks you to pause at a decision in that new code. Think it through before the next edit, while the context is still fresh.

How it works

Same editor.
A more thoughtful next step.

After an edit, a question appears about the new code. A moment to think through what changed before the next edit.

Your prompt. Your editor.
A little more understanding between edits.

Install the desktop app. Open Cursor or VS Code. Prompt as usual.

For the people
behind the prompt.

Building something.

Move from idea to code with AI, and understand the changes you'll be working with tomorrow.

Developers & independent builders

Learning something.

Use the project you care about as your starting point. Learn a little from each edit, while the context is fresh.

Students & new developers

Teaching someone.

Give learners a reason to think through what their agent wrote, in the editor they already use.

Educators & mentors

Before you install

Fair questions.

Does it write the code for me?

Your coding agent still writes the code. Agentic Mentor asks you a question about the edit before you continue.

What if I get the answer wrong?

The question stays in the panel and points you to the relevant line. You can try again, then continue after the right answer.

What do I need to get started?

Cursor or VS Code, plus the Agentic Mentor desktop app. Choose an available download below, install it, and look for “Companion on.” in the menu bar or tray.

Can I use it with my students?

Learners can use the companion on their own computers. The current preview focuses on individual learning; it does not include classroom administration or grading.

Take it into your next project

Keep building.
Keep understanding.
